Why Shallow Feeders Work for Brachycephalic Dogs

Flat-faced breeds — brachycephalic dogs like pugs, French bulldogs, bulldogs, and Boston terriers — have difficulty reaching food in deep bowls due to their shortened snouts. At just 1.25" deep, the Citrus Softie eTray provides the perfect depth: easy to reach but still textured enough to slow eating, reduce gulping, and provide mental enrichment at every meal.

Fresh Design, Serious Enrichment

The Citrus Softie eTray is a premium shallow slow feeder dog bowl and enrichment lick mat designed to transform mealtime into a mentally stimulating, calming ritual. The citrus slice motif — with radiating segment channels, rind ridges, and a textured center — creates a wonderfully varied surface that holds food, slows licking, and keeps your dog engaged from the first bite to the last.

The Softie formulation uses SodaPup's softest TPE compound, making it especially gentle for brachycephalic dogs whose flat faces and shorter snouts make harder surfaces uncomfortable. The non-slip base material keeps the tray firmly in place on smooth floors — great for bath-time distraction, grooming sessions, or simply preventing the usual mealtime bowl-sliding. Use it fresh or freeze it the night before for an extended, enriching lick session. The Orange colorway brings citrus energy to your dog's daily routine.
